January 25th little Coop turned 1!!! We are SO blessed by this precious boy. But I am not going to say he is "easy" he had been a challenging kid to say the least, and he started walking at about 10 1/2 months and has done nothing but get faster ever since. He can pretty much keep up with his sister and already carries heavier things then she can. (they are 2 yrs apart!) He is so strong (physically) and very stubborn.... he wants to be a big kid SO bad, I think that is way he was such a fuzzy baby, he just wanted to be keeping up with his big sister- so now that he pretty much can he is SO much happier.
He weighs 20lbs, 8oz, and is 31 inches tall. He says "mama, dada, baloooooon, Maggie, barks like a dog, and imitates everything you say we just can't understand it much." He carries chairs around so that he can climb up things by standing on the chair. He would spend every waking minute outside, even when its cold and windy, he wants to be out there.
He throws balls so well, and loves speed. we have 100% little BOY here...=) and I love every minute (well almost every minute)

Precious Abigail Page turned 3 last week! I cannot believe she is already 3! She is such a BLESSING to our family! She is so energetic, enthusiastic, helpful, funny, smart, VERY friendly and social, talks all the time, keeps us on our toes and keeps us always laughing! I am SO grateful that God chose Cody and I to be her parents, we have loved every minute and we can't wait to see what big things God is going to do in her life!!

We celebrated her 3rd birthday with a purple and pink princess party. Her favorite color is purple. And she loves sparkly things and princesses. Aunt Maggie made her a wonderful castle cake!

One my favorite things about two kids is watching them interact! Coops is only 4 months old and absolutely LOVES his big sister, and Abs thinks that Coops is the best thing in world. I LOVE it, and even though I know they will have their fights I am praying they will be life long best friends!

Abigail runs in to Coopers room when ever he wakes up, climbs the crib and talks to him and kisses on him. He smiles and coos the whole time- even when she gets a bit rough. Sometime I worry about her hurting him, but he never cries- he just closes his eyes and smiles. I love ever minute of this.

We were hanging out this morning and I filmed a bit of them interacting, enjoy!

once again two months have gone by and I have not made time to blog!! I am really going to try to be better, cause I love to look back and read what we were doing and what I was thinking and learning a year ago. So here it goes to trying again to be a better blogger!

Today my precious baby Cooper is 4months old! I know, I can't believe it... these past months have gone by SO fast! Cooper is such a blessing in our life! It is amazing the love that God gives you for your kids. He is a big boy, 15lbs, 26" and smiles, coos, hold things, chews on his fingers and hands, and LOVES his big sister. That is one of the coolest things as a parent to watch my little ones love on eachother! Cooper smiles and talks to his big sister unlike he does for anyone else! And Abs is such a wonderful big sister, she calls me when he is crying and says"mama Cooper needs you." and she rushes to his side with his paci (even if he is not really wanting the paci) she tries to give it to him.

Cooper, I can't even begin to tell you how much I love you. God knit you together in my womb and your daddy and I are SO proud already to call you our son. You are truely an amazing gift to us from our Heavenly Father. You will not know the love we have for you until you have your son.... I thank the Lord every day for entrusting us with you!! You give me hope when I look around at our world, you give me a smile when I am at weakest point, you hold on to my finger and my crazy life around me stops for a minute, and snuggling with you and talking to you I feel absolutely content. I was worried I wouldn't be able to love you like I do your big sister Abigail, but God made my heart bigger and now I love both of you more then I even thought I could love something.

I am so grateful that the Lord has given me the opportunity and desire to stay home with my precious children. We have given up a second income and all that entails but when I look at these two lives that I am able to help mold and develop I get the over whelming feeling that I have THE BEST job in the world. I wouldn't give up one second of time I have been able to share with these two. I am learning to live in God's truth, and seek Him for my patience and trust.

We have had a wonderful past couple of months, and instead of trying to play catch up I will just add some photos, and hopefully start with blogging at least once a week....=0)

We have been to Pheonix with some of our best friends from Cortez the Conrads, we have been to Alamogordo and multiple trip to Las Cruces. To include watching my little sister Lizzy graduate from NMSU! We are so proud of her.

A guy Cody works with gave us buffalo meat! So Cap came over and helped process buffalo meat!! They worked SO hard and now we have a freezer full of wonderful buffalo!

when your having fun! And boy are we having fun these days!=0) Our days are filled with fun snuggles, giggles, potty breaks.. (yes Abigail is POTTY TRAINED!!) mom is pumped about that.
Singing, dancing, nursing, loving seeing Cooper smile, and living for bed time=0) A friend told me the other day that "the days are long but the years are short!" SO true, and my little ones are still so tiny, but I am loving and cherishing almost every minute of my life with them while they both fit in my lap and love for me to smooch and cuddle them.

Cute little cuddle bug. Cooper LOVES to be right next to his mommy. When Abs was a baby she kinda liked to be put down and left alone, but not Coop! The closer the better.... so we are using the moby wrap alot these days where he falls sound asleep on my chest- and believe me- I don't mind one bit!
Cute little doobles is such a doll- can a toddler get any cuter is my question!? She is such a hoot and talked non stop. She is so sweet and affectionate. Tonight Cody and I kissed her on either side of her little chubby cheeks and she says "AHH, thanks guys!" =0) She loves to read, play, dance to Les Mis (I am starting her young), and she loves her little brother, she holds him, talks to him, squeezes him (sometimes a bit hard..) and tell everyone about him. "baby cooper is my baby cooper."

We took a trip to El Paso to meet the great grandparents! It was a wonderful trip and very special because Cooper William is named after my grandad William WOmack- a wonderful man who has spoken alot of wisdom into both Cody and I's life. Cooper is 8 weeks old today, and I am not sure but on my scale at home it says he weighs somewhere between 12-13 lbs! Ya, he is HUGE! not just chubby but super long! We have his check up on Monday and I can't wait to see how much he has grown! So different from my tiny little Abigail who didn't wight 12 lbs till she was like 7 months!!haha

Cooper (and Abigail are so blessed to have such a wonderful family that loves them SO much!) Tons of Aunts and Uncles, grandparents, greatgrands, and even some adopted family member! We have had some wonderful guests come visit us to see and meet Cooper! And I didn't make 1 meal till Cooper was 6 weeks old!!! THank you SO much for all our friends and family who has helped us, continue to help us and LOVE us!! We are SOOOO blessed!

Baby Coop

I took some picture of little Cooper last week, he was so good and let his crazy mommy try all sorts of things! But the best way to get better at newborn photography is to practice!!=0)

Coop is such a good little baby, he is a REALLY good eater, which is why is already growing out of the nb clothes. (Abs worn nb clothes till she was almost 3 months old) so looks like Cooper is going to be a big boy!
We are also working on the nursery- since we like to keep the gender a surprise, we just waited till after he was born to do a nursery and Cody has off all this week so we are working on it! I will take some pictures when we have it more set up.

He is very alert and already watches his mobile and follows your face or finger. We are so blessed to have 2 precious healthy children!
Abigail is doing great and loves being a big sister, she smashes his face and kisses him all the time. She is definitely acting like a little 2 year old- quite a little stubborn attitude, but with all the hard times or her testing us- she is such a precious thing that shows tons of affection.

Precious Abigail is 2! I can't believe she is already 2! Everyone tells you that time will go so fast- but you don't realize just how fast until you are a parent!
Abigail has been such a blessing from God! She is so smart, so full of personality, and brings so much JOY to our lives. I can't even begin to imagine my life without my precious daughter.

I am going to try to be better about blogging more of my thoughts and feeling, and fun sayings from both my kids- since I now know first hand how fast time goes... before I know it Coop will be 2=0)

I am sitting here with a precious new bundle sound asleep in my lap! Could life get ANY better!?
After 9 months of wondering what precious baby we were about to meet we are so happy to say that God gave us an ADORABLE baby BOY!!

was born Jan. 25th, 5:21am. 7lbs, 10oz, and 21 inches

Painful contractions started Monday night about 8pm, and my water broke at about 2am. We checked into the hospital at 2:30am, and Cooper was born at 5:21am. He is such a good baby, and is super mellow and easy going (so far=0)

Maggie and Minnie drove over to Silver Monday night about 10pm- PERFECT timing, cause we left for the hospital not long after that. Minnie stayed with Abs at home, and Maggie wanted to be there for the birth so she came with us! She is brave=0)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year! Everything is focused on Christmas! And what a wonderful holiday to celebrate, the birth of our precious Savior. He had to become man to die for us and give us eternal salvation!! Thank you God for sending your son!

We have been so busy, and I can't beleive it is already Dec. 15th, Christmas is in 10 days... My best friend and little sister flies in from NZ tomorrow and I am SOOO excited! I will take the video camera to get Abs' reaction- she hasn't seen her since July.

We cut down our first Christmas tree here in Silver City- not quite the Colorado snowy experience that we are used to, but it was still fun and we got a fantastic tree!

Bear Baby #2 is 33 weeks and is SO active! Abs loves to feel baby kick, she hugs and kisses my belly all the time- she is going to be such a good big sister (we are hoping..)

I am still running (jogging) a bit, and feeling great. I am so blessed that after the first 20 wks I feel amazing... it's just getting past the sickness part.

Abigail will be two on Jan 4th! I can't believe it, time really does fly. She is such a little ham, and so precious, we love that little girl to pieces! She talks all the time and is even putting together 5 and 6 word sentences, which is crazy! Some funny things she has done this week...
-she yells back to the intercom at the grocery store,
-sings along to any song (even if she doesn't know the words at all...)
-she goes so hard, that she begs me for nap time
-she says " i love you mommy" or " daddy" and of course melts her daddy's heart.
-she asked to wrestle with daddy everyday
-she thinks every color is red
-she can count to 10
-she uses the potty when she wants to....
- and this little child is so verbal. It is unbelievable the things she come up with and says. Cody and I are always laughing.
She is going to LOVE christmas- she has already gotten to open a few presents here and there (at gifts exchanges and stuff) and she loves presents, and now asks for one a couple time a day...

We are going great! Getting ready to have alot of family come see us for Thanksgiving! It is going to be so fun!! Little baby is doing great and kicks ALL the time, Abigail love to kiss my belly and feel the baby kick her!

I love this time of year!! The weather is a bit cooler, the leaves are starting to change here in Silver and we are planning Thanksgiving!! We are having Thanksgiving celebration at our house this year- so that will be heaps of fun!!
My mom likes to comment that I end every sentence with an exclamation point.... I told her mom "my life is an exclamation point" =) and I am not exaggerating!!
Cody is working away and getting ready for his big elk hunt coming up in Nov. He is SO excited, and Abs and I are excited for him. He is actually on our back porch now calling in deer with his new call.
Abigail is as always SO much fun, and I basically have the best job in the world- teaching, guiding, and loving on this precious little girl. She is sitting in my lap now watching bbc talking animals on youtube (if you haven't seen it- check it out.... really funny)

We have been meeting some wonderful friends here in Silver and it is really fun starting to get involved a bit in the community. Abs and I go to a toddler reading class at the library and a really fun play group with wonderful people! We are blessed.

I also had my 29th birthday last week! So my mom and sis came up and made it such a special day! I also got a DOUBLE JOGGER stroller from my parents- what a great gift! Cause I will be running with two here in a couple months. We are 25 weeks with baby bear #2, this little one kicks a TON! wow- kinda crazy, maybe llittle one will be a soccer star....=0)

We have been SO busy lately- mostly having fun and enjoying the summer! We have been to the EL Paso Zoo, Ventura California beach, camping, Sea World in San Diego, Abs got a new mt. seat, lots of swimming, and on top of it all we moved into our NEW HOUSE in Silver City!! Here are a few photos!

it's been a while...

wow- I am not a very good blogger lately, but I do however have a pretty good "excuse"....
We have lots going on in the Roberson family lately. First of all we had a big move (that is not quite all the way over...) Cody got a new job for NRCS in Silver City, NM! So we packed up... (well "we" actually didn't do much of the packing, a moving company came and packed us and moved us!) which was such a blessing from God cause I haven't been feeling so hot lately. So Cody started his job in Silver while we are looking for a house, and Abs and I are staying with my parents till we find a house and get settled. We were very sad to leave Southern CO, we have had a wonderful 2 years there and we are praying we get to go back- BUT for now, God has us back in NM- which is not all that bad, since we are only 2 hours from our family!! Which will be so nice especially come January.... yep- we are having another BABY!! Abs is going to be a big sister!! We are all SO excited!!
Abs is 18months and thriving=0), she is SO busy and SO much fun! Wow, you think your life is busy when you have a baby- WAIT till you have a toddler- I had no idea what was coming, but we spend most of the day chasing around our little explorer, climber, swimmer, talker, dancer, and MS. Attitude (she doesn't get that from her mom.. ) we couldn't ask for a better life, she is so precious and we are SO blessed to be her parents. (just remind me of that when I am spanking her for tell her mommy "No" when I ask her to do something=0)
But God is faithful- and I need to keep trusting and leaning on him in this whole new world of parenting!! Abigail belongs to Him- what a relief!!

Resurrection Sunday!

Happy SPRING everyone!! And more important Happy Resurrection Sunday!! We had a wonderful Easter starting out early in the morning as we joined our brothers and sisters in Christ at a sunrise service! We drove out to a couple's house that overlooks the whole montezuma county and LaPlata mountains and watched the sun rise over the clouds and watched the light burst forth a Glorious morning!! We then had a wonderful breakfast potluck and fellowship. Then we headed home so sleepy little abigail could have a morning nap and so we could get ready for Easter service at 11. This was also the fist service in our new sanctuary!! What a wonderful service and a wonderful reminder of what Christ has done for us and how the grave does not hold him- because he has RISEN!!
We ended the service with one of my favorite songs "because He lives". I love that song because it always reminds that me that we can face uncertain and tough days ONLY because HE lives and HE is alive today! Praise His Holy name!!

It's been a while...

since I have had time to blog!! We have been so busy and been having so much fun with our little Abigail- who is not so little anymore!!
The last month Abs has really started to grow up! She talks A TON ( pretty much repeats everything you say) she also using sign language, but she prefers talking! She runs, plays tons of games, read books to herself (in a language we don't understand), loves to swim, love to play at the park- when its not freezing, loves to be on the go, and of course LOVES to have all the attention. Everyones attention. We joke, cause when we go somewhere and someone doesn't pay attention to her or give her high five, she stares at them with a very confused look ("why isn't that person talking to me, or saying how cute I am, or giving me high five?")
Our precious little bundle is a handfull! She is very busy and on the go 24-7. I am a pretty high energy person and she wears me out everyday.
Abs and I got to go on a super fun trip last weekend, we went to San Antonio to watch Lizzy swim in her last swim meet the WAC championship! We also got to see almost the whole family, and do lots of fun shopping! Abs LOVED the swim meet and cheers for all the girls and made lots of new friends. Lizzy KICKED butt, and we are SO proud of her for finishing her college D1 swimming career with her best times and winning the mile!! Love you little Lizzy! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

We have made such precious friends while living here in Cortez. One of those families have been the Yates. Bradey runs xc and track and Rob and Tonya have really adopted us as family! We love them! The latest thing we have done with them, is Uncle Rob picked out some carhartt over-alls for Abs at the state stock show. So they said she needed to come help Bradey feed. So sat morning after her nap we headed out to their farm and "helped" feed the cows. In these pictures it looks like abs is not having fun, but I think she was so intent on watching and touching the animals she couldn't be bothered smiling for mom and the camera=0)

We spent Saturday out xc skiing!! It was so beautiful and snowed on us the whole time! Abs loved it... till the end cause I think her little hands were getting cold.

We had such a wonderful weekend in Phoenix this weekend!! It was SO nice and warm and we even had a day with warm rain, with the wonderful creosote smell (the bestest smell in the whole world!)
Anyway we got to visit one of my best friends from college Sara and Eric Channing and their two precious offspring Will and Claire! That was so fun and such wonderful fellowship with a precious family!

The reason for the weekend was to run a half marathon in support for Robert Fueille and his family! Another friend from college Robert was diagnosed with testicular cancer and has been fighting the cancer battle!! Here are a couple pics from the race! And I was pretty happy with a time of 1:28 for my first half marathon!! Even though my chip apparently didn't work... that was my watch time. Cody and Abs cheered along the route and it got me all pumped to try to break 3 hrs in the marathon this summer!

We also got to take Abs to the ZOO! And everyone that knows Abs knows that she LOVES LOVES LOVES animals, so the Zoo was pretty much heaven for her..... Abs and Will checked out all the animals and worked on their animal sounds. While Claire took a sweet little nap=0) by the way Claire is the best most precious baby in the whole world, she was such a sweet happy content little thing (while Abs was trying to grab and kiss her and Will all weekend...)

So we are back is snowy C-town where it has been snowing since we got back! Cody didn't get the Durango job, so we are waiting once again and trusting that God has us where He wants us (sometimes easier said then truely felt and believed) Even though I am looking forward to the warm summer, warm weather, a change in scenery for now I will enjoy a warm bowl of veggie soup tonight with my precious little family and watch the snow come down!!

Thinking back to this time last year, I had a brand new baby!! Cody and I had NO idea how much our lives were about to change! Abigail has been one of the most precious blessings in my life. Her little life has already taught me a whole different kind of love and how precious each moment of our life is! I can't believe it has been a year!! This past year came with not much sleep, a HUGE learning curve, and learning everyday to put my trust and faith in my precious Savior. Praise God for his tender kindness and his mercies!
To celebrate this wonderful 1 year occasion we took a trip to Las Cruces/ Alamogordo to spend Christmas, New Years, and Abs' 1st birthday with family and friends! We had such a wonderful trip and made so many wonderful memories and alot of 1sts for Abigail!

I have to start with this photo- cause I think it might be the sweetest photo EVER! We went to cheer on Aunt Lizzy during her LAST NMSU home swim meet! Lizzy has been swimming for over 15 year- so this is a bitter sweet season. She did awesome and the whole gang was there to cheer her on!
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration at my Grandparents house! Where Abigail had a wonderful time eating lemons and having everyone dote on her!

Christmas Day was spend with the Robertson side of the fam in Alamogordo, it was a great day filled with yummy food, tons of great gifts and Abigail trying to play with her new little cousin Addison.... (Addison not so happy with Abigail's attempts to "play")

Over the break Abs decided that crawling was too slow.. so she is walking everywhere now! And exploring everything- this is such a fun age! She does about five different animal sounds, says mom, dad, wow, hi, and sings and dances to any music.

Well it's cold outside, Abs is taking her afternoon nap, and I just sat down with a yummy mug of hot apple cider.... I have to start with God is SO good. He is SO faithful even when I am not, and He has blessed me with a life that in so many aspects I don't deserve. Isn't that what makes Him so good? Giving us blessing that we don't deserve and NEVER giving up on us. My prayer today is that He would make me a mom that shows that kind of love. Giving with no thought of receiving, forgiving with never looking back, and loving even when it hurts us the most. This holiday season I have SO much to be thankful for! And God's love and forgives towards me is on the top of the list!!

Thanksgiving this year was a week full of fun and craziness (wait thats every week with the Thomson clan...) anyway, we spent the week down in Las Cruces and Alamogordo. All my sibling were in town so it was so fun having everyone around.
I did work some over the week doing photo shoots, but I enjoy it so much it wasn't really "work" My photo business is going great and I am always busy with shoots and editing! I love it!

Unfortunately we had to cancel (postpone) our trip to Jamaica. We didn't know Abs needed a passport and we would have had to pay a ton of money to get one on such late notice. And after looking at all the options we decided to save out money and plan another trip at a better time.

Cody has applied for four different jobs so we are just waiting to see if God wants us to move. But for the time being we are very happy and content in little Cortez. This place has really grown on us and has become out home.

Abigail is 11 months old tomorrow!! Almost the 1 year mark! I can't believe how fast 11 months have gone!! She has just started taking steps this past week and is the most precious bundle of joy and energy a parent could ask for. With six teeth finally in, we are back to 12 hours at night, and two really good nap!! YAY! She is eating almost everything and loves to eat, however her new favorite thing to do is open the dog cage and let Ringo out to play....
She also loves to sing and dance to just about anything, crawl in the dishwasher and take all the silverware out, howl like a coyote, drink water like a big girl, and her Grams taught her how to play peek-a-boo. SO fun!!

This is one of my favorite times of year, fall! I love fall, I love the weather changing, the leaving falling, the cold morning runs, and the plans for Thanksgiving and then Christmas right around the corner!! Another thing I love about this time of year is FOOTBALL! Not that I have a certain team that I am into, but more I just enjoy the yummy food and the afternoons with family and friends cheering on the players.
I have this tradition, every year I pick an NFL team to cheer for. And it changes every year, so last year was Arizona (who just so happened to make it to the superbowl) and this year... well I guess you can say I have jumped back on the Cowboys band-wagon. My family is hard core Dallas fans, and being the sweet kind daughter that I am, I always cheering for ANY team BUT dallas, just to make things fun..... but this year Abs and I are rooting for the Cowboys! So her gramps already got her suited up in spirit of the "BOYS"!

We are not huge fans of Halloween, but GG got Abs this super cute giraffe outfit, so we went to the church carnival and had some friends over for hot chocolate!

My dad got a trip switched and my mom had a week with not much going on... so we have visitors!! It is ALWAYS so fun to have them here..... Grams is watching Abs for the week while I work, and dad is so graciously exercising our crazy dogs by taking them on lots of much needed mountain bike rides!
We had a yummy birthday dinner tonight at the Dolores Brewery.... so yum! And of course we had to take some pictures of Abs in the leaves that we had been raking up in the front yard. Also the precious pumpkin hat is from Nana K. So fun!

The last few weeks have flown by! With two trips to Santa Fe, and two XC meets... our weekends have been packed. We hosted out home XC meet last weekend, the weather was Fabulous and it was so fun!! We even had an open race before the Middle School races started... and of course I had to race... after all this long training for a marathon the 5k kicked my butt! I forgot how much it hurts to run fast=0)
Code's Elk hunt starts next weekend, so he has been out scouting and gearing up! After the XC meet in the morning we headed outside of Mancos to do a little hiking in the fall colors - and (which is more the main purpose for going) to let our crazy dogs RUN!! So Romeo (Mag's lab) and Ringo our crazy german shorthair pointer... ran their doggie butts off. which made for a wonderful weekend!

Sunday morning I got up and got a 12 mile run in, Cody went scouting, and Mags and I took our dogs and baby out again for a hike near McPhee. The country side is beautiful even though it looks like a totally different place with all the green gone. Two weeks till Regionals in Apsen, and they got 12 inches of snow a week ago! so I will keep you updated!!

We are so excited that Richard and Melissa brought a precious little girl Addison Wynne into the world!! Abs has a baby cousin! We can't wait to see photos!!.... too bad we don't live closer cause obvious we do not have a shortage of photos around our house=0)

Wow, it's been a month!

ya, so it has been about a month since I have done anything with this little blog.... so a cold front is blowing in, Abs is napping, and I am eating a caramel apple... so I will try to post a little something.

Things here in C-town are going great! This is my all time favorite time of year, the aspens are freakin AMAZING! Everything is bright yellow, orange, and gold! So beautiful! We have been so busy, with working, traveling, hunting, highschool XC, marathon training, starting my own business (and taking tons of photos), trying not to kill our VERY energetic puppy, oh and raising our precious little daughter.
Cody shot a good size doe last week, so he has been working hard processing all the meat....
I should have gotten a picture of last night... he had the whole hind quarters in our kitchen. He is such a great provider!! He is also headed to farmington today for a job interview. We are both not wanting to move, but if he gets the job it might be a possibility.

I have been staying so busy, teaching, coaching, and opening my own business!! I am actually in the process of getting a tax ID number and a small business license! I will be my own business owner. pretty cool. Also in the next few months, I will be designing (or should i say trying to design my own webpage) right now it is still the blogspot, but check out the latest senior pictures.... www.riverbendphotos.blogspot.com
Teaching is going great, I teach yoga, beginning fitness, and swimming, to very energetic highschoolers..... it really is alot of fun! I also love coaching, but it is definitely a family affair, Cody and Abs follow the Panther XC team everywhere... abs even made the team pictures! Our kids are running great, the girls got 2nd at the Pagosa Springs Invite!! And we are setting out sites on State in Fort Collins at the end of Oct. Those kids are so precious! I love them, and so does Abigail.

And Abs is only a few days away from being 9months old! yes, I can't beleive it, my little bug is 9 months! And waving, clapping, standing on her own,( for a few seconds) and crawling almost as fast as I can run.=0)

Last weekend we had a blast in Santa Fe for my dear friend Elizabeth Jaramillo's wedding!! We staying in La Fonda right on the Plaza, and the wedding was BEAUTIFUL!! It was so fun to be with my old college running buddies! And Liz was an absolutely stunning bride! We also got to spend some time with Precious Nana K, Uncle Steve, and Grammy Sherry up in Los Alamos!! They were so amazing and baby sat alot of the weekend so Cody and I could enjoy the festivities!

Anyway these were taken at Abs' first alpine lake, Hope Lake, it was a beautiful hike! Ringo was in heaven, and we barely escaped the rain!

Apples!

Well another couple weeks have come and gone, and Abs is going to be eight months old on Sep 4th!! I can't believe it, time is going SO fast!!
Last week we went with some friends to pick apples! It was so fun... and we have a ton of apples. We already made alot of apple sauce and we are hoping to make apple butter and can it. We also went with some friends after church to pick BLACKBERRIES!! So fun, so now we have tons of fruit and veggies (our garden is producing mad amounts....) so we all this wonderful fresh produce around the house!! Now we just have to do all the work to put it up. I have been baking zuchinni bread pretty much every other day.... and I am going to learn to can. I am also freezing some of the berries for smoothies!
Abigail is doing great!! I had to start work again last week... and it was really hard for the first couple of days but now thing are going great! I am only working part time in the mornings, and a really good friend of ours is watching her. So she has fun, takes a nap... and I come home! It is really the perfect situation. Then she goes to XC practice with me..... the team loves her. And all the kids love her and are SO good with her. It is really neat to see them interact and be so loving with her.... something you don't see very often at the highschool=0)

One of the amazing meals we have made lately... with all our garden goodness!! Everything (except the chicken) is from our garden!! Another favorite is patty pan Parmesan!

Uncle Fuzz and Aunt Melissa came for a visit this week!! It was so fun! But the highlight was definitely tubing down the Animas river!! (well Abs and I just watched and took pictures) Abigail LOVES the water, so she splashed and played until she fell sound asleep in my arms. I have to tell you, it is those precious moments that I just take a deep breath, and thank the Lord that he has given me the most precious gift ever!!
I also let Abigail sit in the mud yesterday and play in it, she loved it...so much she tried to eat it... so we headed to the shower. In the shower I was just singing to her and enjoying the afternoon, when all of a sudden she reached her arms around my neck, and snuggled into me with her face and held me there for a while. It was the most precious hug I have ever experience!!
So even though our days are filled with reading, sleeping, cleaning, cooking, playing, and dancing (seems pretty simple) I really do feel like every day, is just another day in Paradise!!

My precious little 7 month old, is now almost 15 lbs. She talks up a storm, and LOVES to stand... also loves to always be on the move!
While Fuzz and Melissa were here we made tie-dye shirts!! It was SO much fun!! Some turned out better then others....
The water was really cold!! So after a fun but freezing trip down the river... we had hot steak fries and fried chicken!
Well I am off to get my zuchinni bread out of the oven. We are headed to Salida tomorrow for the weekend with some friends to stay in a cabin and hike some 14ers!! So I will post again next week!!

.. I can't believe it is already August! Where has the summer gone?! And my precious little baby is seven months and getting so big. I was nursing her this morning looking down and trying to remember when she was so tiny and how when I burped her she would crunch up so cute and tiny. Those days are gone and my little one is on the move! She doesn't really crawl yet, but she scoots around and rolls around and can deffinately get where she wants to be.... right in the middle of all the action. God is teaching me so much and has given me a child that is SO much like me it is amazing. She doesn't want to miss out on one thing!
Cody has applied for a couple new jobs so we are still waiting to hear what is in store for our family. But until we hear anything we are living it up here in Cortez. We go hiking all the time, and lately Abs and I have been spending time at the pool, where she loves to play in the water.
Aunt Mags is now our next door neighbor, she only lives two houses down, so thats super fun and we have been "helping" her move in. (as much as I can help.. while carrying and chasing a little crazy girl around)
Our garden is fabulous! We LOVE it and have been enjoy all the goodies emmencely!=0) I have also really been playing house wife, I made homemade rassberry jam, and homemade pesto in the last couple of days! So fun.... I even have had my sewing machine out!
Ringo is crazy as ever and we finally found someone(something) that can outrun me and Cody.... I swear that dog is like energizer doggie.... but he fits our family so perfectly! Here are a few photos of our garden!

The little photo business we have started is really going well. We are busy doing tons of senior pictures and have had about four weddings book us for the spring! So fun!!

Sorry you can call me crazy, but I think Abigail is THE cutest thing in the whole wide world. I feel so unbelievably blessed that God gave her to us!! Burro Bridge Camping Trip

We had a wonderful long weekend up in the mountains!! My mom and dad came up and we loaded up the pop-up and headed to Burro Bridges, about an hour and a half outside Cortez. We had so much fun! It was Ringo's first camping trip and he loved it so much that he has been sleeping for three days solid=0) We mountain biked, hiked, and ate wonderful dutch oven master pieces (thanks to mom!) it was so nice to relax and cool off. Abigail loved camping and slept snuggled in Cody and my sleeping bag. Here are a few photos from the trip!

I keep thinking she is getting a tooth, cause she gnaws on everything and loves ice or anything frozen. But I still can't see anything or feel anything... so I don't know.

She is so precious, and I love every day cause she does something new and fun... She loves to sit up like a big girl and look all around, we also try to put on her hat everytime we go out (just so she gets used to it... and before she figures out how to take it off...)
Her toes are her favorite toy so far.
And her eyes are still as blue as ever, and we thought her "hair" was coming in blonde, but no it is still really dark. Of course I think she is the prettiest baby ever....

Abigail tasted her first delicious food last week! Squash!! She was so cute and so excited, she did pretty well moving it to the back of her mouth and even swallowed most of it=0) We think she is going to love spinach since that is pretty much the only thing I craved like crazy while I was pregnant. That would be awesome. Our garden is doing so good, so we are pumped to harvest all God's yumminess and make all our own organic baby food for Abs.
Cody is pretty much the best husband ever, but he made me this sweet flower box for our front porch. It is SO perfect, and hopefully today I will get to fill it up with flowers! Abigail loves to watch her dad do pretty much anything, especially if it is outside.

We spent this Easter in Albq. Marc and the Smile Ease had a big show on Saturday night!! Cody had a wonderful time and me and abs went to bed early. Easter morning we had a wonderful breakfast with friends and it was so great to see Marc! Then we went to church with Grandpa Mike. We went to the service at Calvery of Albq. It was a great service and Randy Travis did the music... kinda cool I guess. Then Mike took us to the Mule Barn for some yummy mexican food! Then back to Cortez! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! What a wonderful day to remember what God did for us and how the tomb was EMPTY!! Praise God he has Risen!!

Spring Break

For Spring Break Abigail and I went down to Las Cruces to visit the family. It was such a fun week but we both missed Cody so much! he stayed in Cortez and worked..=0(, but he did get alot of mountain biking and running in!!
Dave is graduting in May from NMSU! And also his commencement into the airforce as an officer! We are so pumped for him!
And on her 3rd month birthday Abs reached for her moble... we so proud of she.

This morning I woke up and starting thinking.... last year at this time Cody and I were still on our big adventure around Central America!! Here are a couple of photos from the trip, just because I had such a great time looking through them this morning.
I would have never guessed that a year after we would be settled down with a baby!! WOW, seriously we were planning on headed back down there to do some more traveling, but now our big adventure is all wrapped up in one little bundle (a very precious bundle I might add). Life is so fun and God is So good and So faithful no matter where in the world we are.
A year ago we spent our days seeing new amazing things and places, and now a year later our new and amazing things are the coos and giggles of a precious little girl! So fun! Life could not get any better.
The top picture is a hike with some friends we went on this weekend, Abs loves hiking... she sleeps the whole time. She also loves snuggling with her daddy in the mornings... he kinda likes it too=0)
We decided that I will be staying home with Abigail and not going back to school for the remainder of the year. Cody is still taking college classes and working hard at his job. He is doing so well and has really found his nich. (if thats how you spell that) We moved to Cortez for my PE teaching job and now God has given Cody direction in his career and some awesome opportunities! It is so cool how God works things out!
It is 70 and beautiful here so Abs and I have been breaking in the running stroller... with a marathon in Oct as our goal! God bless and hope everyone is doing well!

Baby Shower! We were so blessed to have a wonderful baby shower for Abigail at the Curry house when we went to visit Las Cruces! So many wonderful women put so much work into making it such a fun day!! Thanks so much to Debbie Hill, Pancha Banegas, Rebecca Miller, Crystal, and Christina, and of course the Curry family for opening their beautiful home! So fun!!

Abigail is now six weeks old. We just took a trip down to Las Cruces to visit family and friends. It was so much fun! Here are some pictures of bath time at Grams and Gramps house.
